2009 Conference featured a Training by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman

The2009 CPPA Annual Conference was in Grand Junction.  CPPA Co-hosted the training by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman with the Rocky Mountain Women in Law Enforcement.  There were about 260 people in attendance for Lt. Col. Grossman‘s “Bulletproof Mind” presentation.  Lt. Col. Grossman has written three bestsellers on killing and is one of the most in-demand speakers for police agencies and military units. He is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier and speaker and one the world’s foremost experts on human aggression and the roots of violence and human crime.  Lt. Col. Grossman preaches a 21st century warrior’s code to help cops cope with killing: “Throughout our history there’s never been more than a real core of warriors. They’re the ones who in a time of trial we turn to.”

CPPA 2008's conference featured Dave (AKA Buck Savage) and Betsy Smith: Dave presented his acclaimed “The Winning Mind” in the morning & his equally praised “Training a New Generation” in the afternoon.

Sept 20th Dave & Betsy combine for a practical, poignant & humorous session on "What Did You Just Say?!” that offers real life communication skills at the station, in the street, & at home. Betsy just launched her Reality TV Show on Biography called Female Forces.

Dave worked for the Tucson PD and Arizona State Police, developed his “Buck Savage” video training series & is a senior instructor of “Street Survival” seminars & a columnist for several law enforcement publications as is Betsy, a 27 year veteran of the Naperville, Ill. PD.
