The Colorado Police Protective Association has established “CPPA BODY ARMOR PROGRAM”, a member benefit to assist certified Colorado Police Officers in the acquisition of the essential protective body armor (vest) that they may require in the course of their duties.
Many officers have or have had access to this type of body armor by virtue of their employment or affiliation with their respective departments or agencies. Unfortunately, there remains a large number of officers who must perform their duties without the additional layer of protection afforded them by protective body armor. Many of these officers need and desire this added layer of protection but cannot afford to purchase these vests. It is the contention of the Colorado Police Protective Association that no sworn officer, deputy or agent should have to be without the benefit of a protective vest because he or she cannot afford one.
The Colorado Police Protective Association has partnered with
Point Blank Armor, Inc. to assist officers who meet the application criteria to acquire this protective body armor.
Officers who would like to apply for the CPPA Body Armor Program can email or call the CPPA office at 800.320.2772 or cppa@cppa.net to request an application packet.
