Friday Training

The CPPA strives to bring in high-quality training every year.  This year the CPPA welcomed Dr. Kevin Gilmartin, Phd.

Dr. Gilmartin is a behavioral  scientist specializing in law  enforcement related issues that not only speak to those in LE and public safety but those who live with or love someone in Law Enforcement.

Dr. Kevin Gilmartin is the author of
"Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement"

a guide for officers and their families

Dr. Gilmartin addressed the emotional toll that the LE occupation takes on law officials and their families. He recognized that the emotional consequence of working in law enforcement is one of the most ignored and yet critical issues for officers. He taught all of the attendants how to understand the impact that their career has on their personal lives and helped them to develop behavioral strategies to prevent inappropriate conduct.
